Why Join KYACAC?

The Kentucky Association for College Admission Counseling (KYACAC) is an affiliate of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). It is an organization with over 700 professionals from across the state and region serving students as they make choices about pursuing post-secondary education. KYACAC effectively brings together secondary school counselors, college admission and financial aid officers, enrollment managers, independent counselors, and organizations engaged in guiding students through the secondary-to-higher-education transition process.

What Does KYACAC Do?

Host college fairs throughout the state to promote higher education to students
Host professional workshops to continually develop those who work with students:
- College Counselor Information Exchange (CCIE)
- Annual Conference and Guiding the Way to Impact
- New Admissions Professionals workshop
Provide grants and funds for members to attend events
Give out scholarships to students each year
Lobby for policy and provide expertise to government officials and state leaders in Frankfort and Washington DC
Connect individuals who work in secondary and post-secondary education to more effectively serve students
